Recap of 2004:
This year marked the foundation of the tour but it was limited to restaurants near the Seattle area. Without much foresight or planning, the two founders dedicated a week to seven local burger stops. Each member had already eaten at each of the chosen spots but while there were seven restaurants in seven days, some of the places included chains (later banned) and the whole tour was executed with very little formality. XXX Diner was crowned champion at the end of the week but as soon as it was over, both members started to look at how they could increase the scope and strength of future tours. It was quickly decided that they needed to expand the ranks.
