THE BURGER TOUR GUIDE

How to rate a burger you’ll actually remember.

The best burger journal helps you answer a practical question: would you come back for this burger? Record the details while the experience is fresh, then compare your visits over time.

Five things to notice in a burger

  1. The patty. Describe the flavor, seasoning, texture and how it was cooked. Crispy edges and a thick, juicy center are different experiences; judge the style you ordered rather than requiring every burger to be the same.
  2. The bun. Does it hold together? Is its texture enjoyable? Notice whether it complements the filling or overwhelms it.
  3. The balance. Think about cheese, sauce, acidity and toppings together. A memorable ingredient is useful only if you enjoy the whole bite.
  4. The consistency. How did the final bites compare with the first? Notes about temperature, dryness or a soggy bun can explain a score later.
  5. The value to you. Record the price and decide whether you would happily order it again. Value is personal; an expensive burger does not automatically deserve a higher or lower score.

Keep your criteria consistent. You might reserve 9–10 for burgers you would make a special trip for, 7–8 for a place you would gladly revisit, and lower scores for experiences you would not repeat. These are suggested personal anchors, not an official formula or a claim about any restaurant.

Turn each visit into a useful entry

Save the restaurant, location, burger name, visit date and a score from 1 to 10 in 0.1 steps. Add the style, price, a photo and a short note when useful. “Great crust, too much sauce” will tell your future self more than “good.” Keep notes focused on what you experienced.

Visit the same restaurant again? Add another rating for that trip instead of overwriting your earlier memory. The restaurant page lets you see your visits, sort them and view your personal average. Use the same restaurant listing and address so different branches do not get mixed together.

Your journal is private unless you choose to share an entry by link. A shared link can reveal the review, photo and displayed account or group information to anyone who receives it. Choose what you want to share before sending the link.

Your average, a group score and Burger Tour Score

Your personal average summarizes your own visits to that restaurant. It is useful for spotting whether a favorite has been consistent over time.

A group score is feedback from the people taking part in a particular group rating. It describes that table’s experience.

Burger Tour Score combines account ratings for the same restaurant location. Each account contributes its latest valid rating, so someone who visits many times does not get extra votes in the community score. The displayed count is the number of contributing accounts. An unrated restaurant has no community score yet; it is not rated zero.

Sponsored placements and restaurant films are separate from community ratings. Sponsoring a feature does not purchase a higher Burger Tour Score. Sponsored films are labeled.

Find burger spots without treating the map as a complete directory

Use the map, search a city or restaurant, or choose the nearby search. After moving the map, use “Search this area.” Restaurant type, distance and burger-style filters can help narrow the results; burger-style information comes from ratings, while restaurant categories come from map listings.

OpenStreetMap listings may be incomplete, and a restaurant category alone does not confirm the current menu. Follow the restaurant website or menu link and check hours before traveling. Know a missing spot? Use “Know a spot? Add it” in the app.

About Burger Tour

Burger Tour is a restaurant discovery and burger-rating app from RackFocus Cinema. It combines a map, saved spots, a personal journal and community scores so you can find a new stop and remember the ones worth revisiting.

We are also developing restaurant films that tell the stories behind the food. Restaurant owners can inquire about a film, dedicated feature page or sponsored placement. Questions about the app? Contact RackFocus Cinema.
